Fred took over operations at Cedar Creek when it was still called Ruff Cedar. That was in 1982. He was just 22 and had just graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree. Recording music was something that he had done since a very early age. Playing guitar, and playing with tape recorders and trying experiments in sound with his brother Travy shaped the future for this button crazy kid from San Antonio. Remembering what he had learned from working jobs of all kinds since junior high, Fred jumped in with both feet and started to learn. Luck played a major part in this timeline, and that includes being in the right place at the right time. Since then, Cedar Creek has continued to provide clients with the best combination of qualified staff and superior sonic integrity.
